This dataset shows the Water Treatment Plants Design Capacity by State, Malaysia, 2000 - 2020.
Footnote
The increase of water treatment plants design capacity is due to the addition of new plant and expansion of present plant design. The decrease of water treatment plants design capacity is due to the closing of plants and temporary closure of water treatment plant (will be reopened when needed). Beginning of 2016, design capacity for Johor, Perlis and Terengganu include private operator where the designated capacity based on agreement both parties. Sarawak includes The Northern Sarawak Water Board (LAKU), Sibu Water Board, Kuching Water Board and Public Works Department Sarawak. Selangor includes W.P. Kuala Lumpur and W.P. Putrajaya. Unit for Value is Million litres per day (MLD).
